Combat capability is one of the components of combat readiness. The concentrated application of firepower can result in a drastic reduction in combat effectiveness. The loss may be partial up to 50% or 60% of personnel and equipment have been lost, but command and control remain intact, according to experience in war or total when more than 50% to 60% of forces are out of commission or when command and control have been disrupted.
