Fanconi Syndrome A hereditary or acquired kidney disorder that impairs the reabsorption of electrolytes, glucose, amino acids, and other nutrients into the bloodstream when blood passes through the kidneys. Acquired Fanconi syndrome may be caused by use of certain antiretroviral (ARV) drugs.
