(forces, command and support capabilities, infrastructure)
located behind the close operations area are carried out. The forward line of the deep operations area corresponds to the range of available assets, including air assets. It has to be part of the theater-level area of responsibility, without necessarily covering it completely. The rear line of the deep operations area generally corresponds to the forward line of the close operations area. There always is a continuum between these two areas.
