In a “violence control” context, mission consisting in occupying an intermediate area between belligerents, in order to deny them the ability to continue the direct confrontation, by making all necessary safeguarding arrangements, while remaining able to fix them. Interpositioning has to be accepted by the belligerent's authorities.
