stone Term used for any gemstone.
strap ring A ring, usually leather or pliable metal, that looks like a watch strap without the face.
stretch bracelet A type of bracelet that stretches over the hand and fits snuggly to the wrist. These bracelets feature links that are usually connected with elastic and have no closures as they can adapt to any size. Another way to make these bracelets is with contracting hinges that flex and closes as needed. The latter type was popular during the 40s and 50s with rhinestone costume jewelry.
