The combat deployment must also minimize the vulnerability of troops to conventional weapons, precision-guided weapons and weapons of mass destruction while maintaining continuous cooperation and continuity of command and control. A specific battle deployment is employed in all arms of the service in the various forms of battle. However, formations and units from different arms carrying out a joint mission in one sector usually adopt a common combat battle deployment.
