Пожалуйста, помогите перевести.

Выражение встречается в генеральной доверенности (скорее всего, переведённой с испанского) в следующем контексте:

the Attorney-in-Fact is duly authorized to [...] grant general and special Powers of Attorney for any process filed by, or against the Corporation, with all necessary powers so that the Attorney or Attorneys-in-Fact may file answer and continue the proceedings, executing all the rights vested to the Corporation as plaintiff or defendant, including those to receive, compromise, administer the oath, delegate, abandon the action and to settle the suit and those rights requiring special authorization to be exercised.

Смущает то, что receive the oath и administer the oath вроде бы значит одно и то же, а в случае compromise я вообще плохо понимаю, что имеется в виду... Обсуждать/оговаривать присягу?
