у вас THE application, значит, раньше говорится о том, что это такое
скорее всего, какое-то применение/использование

судя по всему, это договор фондированного участия? тогда grantor - это не доверитель, а кредитор, предоставляющий участие в фондировании

If the Grantor applies any amount in or towards satisfaction of an Obligor's obligations under the Credit Documentation and the Grantor is, as a result of the application or any payment to the Grantor giving rise to the application, obliged by any law, rule or regulation to make any payment to any person, then the Participant shall, upon demand by the Grantor, repay to the Grantor a corresponding portion of any amount paid to the Participant as a result of the application.
