It involves "lubricating," that is, injecting mud into a shut-in well under pressure, followed by bleeding gas from below. 2. If drill pipe pressure can be monitored, inject mud into annulus observing increase in SIDPP. Allow time for mud to fall through gas, slowly bleed off gas until drill pipe returns to original SIDPP Continue until gas under the BOPs has been replaced by mud.
